Easy switch, decent service

Switched to Italk for broadband and a landline. It was pretty straightforward, didn't have any major problems. The internet works fine for streaming and general browsing. Took about a week to fully get everything running after I signed up. No complaints, really.

Smooth transition, reliable internet

My family recently switched to Italk's Fibre Broadband and Phone Bundle. The ordering process online was clear, and I appreciated the step-by-step guidance on what to expect during the transfer from our previous provider. We received the router within three business days of confirming the order, which was quicker than I anticipated. The activation was scheduled for the following week, and everything went live precisely on the promised date without any downtime. We kept our old phone number too, which was important. The connection has been stable, with speeds matching what was advertised for the Superfast Fibre package. Customer support answered a quick question about my first bill promptly. I had a good experience overall, it was much less stressful than my last provider switch.

Consistent service, always reliable

I've been with Italk for over three years now, mainly for their Standard Broadband. This latest renewal was as seamless as previous times. The service has always been consistent, which is why I stick with them. Never had any major issues with outages or slow speeds. Good stuff.

So happy with Italk!

I just got the Full Fibre 100 and it's amazing! Everything was so easy, from signing up to getting it installed. The internet is super fast, way better than my old provider. I'm definitely recommending Italk to all my friends and family! I'll be a customer for a long time.

Good broadband, minor setup hiccup

I switched to Italk for their Superfast Fibre plan last month. The internet speed has been consistently good, exactly as advertised, which is a big plus for working from home. The UK-based customer support was helpful when I called about a small issue with activating the router, though I had to wait on hold for about 10 minutes. Overall, I'm satisfied with the value, but a smoother setup process would have been ideal.

Does anyone know what kind of router Italk gives you? Is it decent or should I plan on using my own?

S Sam Hall 4 weeks ago
They sent me a standard one, pretty basic but it gets the job done for a small house. If you have a big place or lots of devices, you might want to look at extenders or your own router.

It's okay. Nothing fancy but it works. I ended up getting a couple of their WiFi extenders later on for better coverage upstairs.

anyone know if italk has those new customer deals often? or do i gotta wait for black friday to get a decent price?

M Mary T. 3 weeks ago
They pretty much always have some kind of intro rate for new sign-ups. I got like 30% off my first year, no special code needed, just applied automatically.

Nah, you don't need to wait for Black Friday unless you want something super specific. They usually have good bundle deals or a discount for switching on year-round.

Is Italk good for gaming? Or should I stick with someone like Sky or Vodafone for lower ping?

E Elizabeth T. 2 weeks ago
I've got their Full Fibre 100 and it's been pretty solid for gaming, no noticeable lag. As long as you get a good fibre package, ping should be decent.

It depends on the fibre speed you get. I'm on their 900 plan and it's been great, no complaints. I think for most users, they're perfectly fine for gaming, comparable to the big guys.

Hey guys, thinking of switching to Italk for broadband. How long does the whole process usually take from signing up to actually having internet?

R Richard 1 week ago
Mine was pretty quick actually, like two weeks from when I signed up to getting the router and everything set up. They use the Openreach network so it's usually smooth.

Yeah, I think it depends if you need a new line or not. If it's just a switch over, it's usually less than a month. Mine was about 3 weeks.

Are there any hidden activation fees or anything when you sign up for Italk broadband? Just trying to figure out the total cost.

M Matt Rivera 5 days ago
Nah, I didn't pay any activation fee when I signed up for fibre. Sometimes they have deals with no activation fee, I think that's pretty standard for them.

I didn't have one either. Most of their deals, especially for new customers, usually waive that. Just double-check the terms of the specific package you're looking at.
